The tutors at JumpStart are great -- they are knowledgeable, encouraging, and reassuring. We consulted with Matt -- who really knows his stuff about testing -- with both of our children. He worked with us to create a solid test prep program for both. With both, his tutors further developed their math skills in particular, filling in gaps that weren't covered in their school-based classes. Most recently, we worked with Matt and Lisa to design a 6-week crash course for SAT math -- and Lisa helped her achieve the improvement she needed for her college applications. The feedback and communication is always spot-on and Matt as the owner thinks a lot about a student's personality and needs in matching students with the right tutors.

My daughter was preparing for the ACT test and she tried another company through her school which fell very short. We were looking for in person tutoring, and she came across Jump Start. We could not have been happier with how well they prepared her for her test! When we met Matt, The owner, he Took the time to get to know my daughter and what her needs were. He then spent a considerable amount of time talking to us about the process how she could best prepare in a rather short amount of time and a strategy that worked best for her. He then matched her with tutors for both math and reading that he felt with best fit her personality. When we had to change her math tutor, it was absolutely no problem and seamless. We were so happy with how Matt and the staff at Jump Start worked with us, that we started SAT tutoring for our younger daughter and math tutoring for our son. We really found them to be caring, invested in the needs of the kids and doing their best to set them up for success. To have three children with very different personalities, as well as learning styles and find someplace that is not cookie cutter with its approach is a rarity. My son had such a great experience at Jump Start! From the beginning, it was a seamless process to figure out which test to take, come up with a schedule/plan and pick tutors. There are two tutors that you work with - one for English and the other for math/science. The tutors he had were a great fit and were flexible and able to work on his problem areas. Matt, the owner, is very hands on and responsive. My son improved his score 10 points not only through his hard work, but because he had the right tools and guidance.
